Medical Center deep retrofitting

We are thrilled to showcase another successful project completion, for an extensive deep retrofit project at the Medical Centre in Gáspár Zoltán Street, Szeged, Hungary. Covering 1,200 sqm across three buildings, this transformative initiative has created a state-of-the-art Primary Health Care centre to serve the local community’s medical needs.

The Gáspár Zoltán Medical Centre now houses facilities for 6 GPs and paediatricians, 4 dentists, and 6 health visitors, aiming to provide comprehensive healthcare services for the community. The project, funded by the Szeged City Municipal budget and supported by EU funds, was undertaken with a commitment to energy conservation, efficiency, and sustainability.

The initial design phase focused on an in-depth internal rebuild, implementing Austrotherm wall, floor, roof, and ceiling insulation. This not only enhanced energy efficiency but also ensured a comfortable environment for patients, babies, children, and medical staff.

Ventosus played a pivotal role in linking the three buildings and integrating them with the Szeged Geothermal District Heating system. This strategic move provides the Medical Centre with a reliable and sustainable source of renewable heating, contributing to environmental responsibility.

Ventosus collaborated with industry leaders to bring this project to fruition. Partners include Wavin for underfloor heating, Grundfos for e-pumps, Siemens for controlling and monitoring systems, IMI Pneumatex for automatic air vents and separators, Panasonic for air conditioners, Aereco for controlled acoustic exhaust fan systems and air inlets, and Geberit for sanitary systems, among many others. The construction phase was undertaken by HPQ Plus Kft.

This retrofit project goes beyond infrastructure improvements; it ensures that the Medical Centre can continue to provide high-quality healthcare services in a modern, energy-efficient, and sustainable environment. The commitment to safety and comfort aligns with our dedication to the well-being of patients and medical staff alike.
